
NatWest has been named as one of the 'Big 6' banks which provided a total of $21.6 billion (£17 billion) in finance between 2015 and 2022 to five of the world’s biggest emitting industrial livestock companies – JBS, Marfrig, Cargill, Tyson Foods, and Minerva. Though it has a stronger animal testing policy than many banks, it is a leading lender to animal agriculture in the UK, with no exclusion policy on factory farming - the leading driver of global deforestation and natural habitat loss.
